Integrated transportation and land use regression modelling for nitrogen dioxide mitigation

چکیده
The transport sector has been identified as one of the main contributors to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) pollution in Ireland. This research develops an enhanced Wind Sector Land Use Regression (WS-LUR) model estimate NO2 concentrations across Ireland, areas where air monitoring is not available. incorporates details vehicle fleet breakdown weight type flows based on emission rates type, differentiating routes with varying proportions heavier emitting vehicles. In 2008, car taxation underwent a significant change from engine size system carbon (CO2) rate resulting transition towards diesel fuelled A mitigation strategy remove vehicles public service was tested achieving predicted reductions range 0.3 μg/m3 1.9 μg/m3. impact COVID-19 concentration levels also investigated.

Evaluation of Land Use Regression Models for Nitrogen Dioxide and Benzene in Four US Cities
Spatial analysis studies have included the application of land use regression models (LURs) for health and air quality assessments. Recent LUR studies have collected nitrogen dioxide (NO(2)) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using passive samplers at urban air monitoring networks in El Paso and Dallas, TX, Detroit, MI, and Cleveland, OH to assess spatial variability and source influences. L...

Performance of Multi-City Land Use Regression Models for Nitrogen Dioxide and Fine Particles
BACKGROUND Land use regression (LUR) models have been developed mostly to explain intraurban variations in air pollution based on often small local monitoring campaigns. Transferability of LUR models from city to city has been investigated, but little is known about the performance of models based on large numbers of monitoring sites covering a large area. OBJECTIVES We aimed to develop Europ...
متن کاملAlternative Futures for Transportation and Land Use – Integrated Models
Since completing a " Trend-Delphi " based regional forecast and transportation plan in 1996, Metro has developed an integrated transportation and land use model (Metroscope). We are presently using the model to explore several regional growth management options as well as produce a new regional forecast and transportation plan. Comparing our Metroscope results to our previous forecast reveals t...
